Orlando Indie Comedy Fest: March 1 -4, 2018!

The Orlando Indie Comedy Fest returns March 1-4, 2018 with a bigger lineup than ever before. Orlando will host some of the finest up-and-coming comedians from around the country, along with four nationally-touring headliner acts.

The fest is proud to announce Sam Tallent, Janelle James, and Rhea Butcher headlining the Fest Thursday through Saturday, with a special mystery headliner on Sunday, to be announced March 1st.

Thursday night headliner Sam Tallent kicks off the weekend. He has been called “the absurd voice of a surreal generation” by the Denver Post and has worked along some of the biggest names in comedy such as Dave Chappelle, Doug Stanhope, Dana Carvey, and Hannibal Buress.

Friday’s headliner, New York-based comedian Janelle James, appeared on NBC Seeso’s “Night Train” with Wyatt Cenac, “@midnight” on Comedy Central, “Crashing” (HBO), and “Uproarious” on Fuse (2016). She was named one of “The 50 Most Funny People in Brooklyn 2016” and featured for her outstanding performance ability in the The New York Times, Portland Tribune, and Time Out Magazine. Janelle also toured with Chris Rock as part of his Total Blackout Tour 2017.
On Saturday, co-star of the critically acclaimed series “Take My Wife,” Rhea Butcher, takes the stage. Rhea can also be seen on shows such as “@Midnight,” “The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail,” and Conan. Rhea tours the country with her wife, Cameron Esposito, on their Back to Back Tour which debuted as No. 1 on iTunes after being released digitally.

The Sunday, March 4 secret headliner will not be announced until Thursday, March 1.

41 national and 25 Central Florida comics will be performing throughout the weekend at multiple venues spanning from Mills 50 to the Milk District. Variety comedy show Late Late Breakfast will be returning for a third year. This fast-paced, mixed-format stand-up show has been described as “chaos” by the Chicago Reader.
